Insurance

As organizer of cycle event of mass, we have a duty of information. It obliges us to ask you to validate and to sign the letter of accreditation. It provides all your obligations. The member states that he was aware of the risk inherent in its participation in the race.

Every participant must have the correct insurance. Licensees are supported by the insurance license of their sport. Everyone is charged to take out additional insurance coverage if he considers inadequate.

The commitment to the test in fact carries the discharge liability of the Association for damage to bicycles carried by the organization during the relief, repatriation, including transportation assistance by sweep cars. The participant is responsible for verifying the proper storage of the bike.

Our insurance only covers those bikes deposited in our free bike storage area, which runs from 11am – 9pm on the Saturday.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE

This Insurance is only made available to those cyclists (and their accompanying person, where applicable) taking accommodation through The Ardéchoise. Only those underwritten by this insurance can expect any refund. (Insurance agency GRAS SAVOYE (contrat: 7.905.310/compagnie: l’Européenne d’Assurance)

N.B.: Insurance is available exclusively in line with the conditions below. The accompanying person must also subscribe in order to have any cover.

Undertaking: The Organisation assures the participant the refund of the costs incurred for his/her registration, meal, accommodation and luggage. The insurance is effective from the time of registration until the day of departure.

Acceptance Conditions: The insurance will come into effect where cancellation is justified by:

• the insured’s death or the death of wife/husband or partner, or of an elderly relative or of his/her child; or the death of the accompanying person named on the registration document

• an accident causing bodily harm, or a medically recognised illness resulting in the confinement to his/her room for a minimum period of eight days, sustained by any of the above mentioned people

Conditions of Indemnity: Every claim for a refund must be in writing and arrive with us, accompanied by substantiating evidence and by the original confirmation letter, at the latest within eight days following the incident (date of postmark taken as evidence).
